This section is aimed at helping you familiarize yourself with our, CWFS On-Line v2.1. Here you'll find what we consider to be common questions about ContainerWorld and how it relates to your business. We try to think of as many questions and answers as we can but inevitably there's always something new. So we encourage you to send an email to questions@containerworld.com. Q. Whenever I try to login to the website it says "Invalid UserName/Password". What should I do?

A.   If you are a first time user of the website then it is possible that your userid and/or password was incorrectly transferred from the old website. If it is your first time using both the new or old website then you need to apply for a web access password. If you have used the new website before without problems then we suggest double checking that your capslock key is not activated and trying again. Q. I'm having all sorts of problems using the website! I'm getting different errors and it seems like some of the functionality of the site is missing. What's going on?

A.   If you're experiencing errors from the website it is possible that you have some unique settings on your web browser. We have setup a page to verify your browser settings match the minimum requirements for the website. If you are feeling technically inclined feel free to run the tests, hopefully they will isolate the problem which helps us to get you back online as soon as possible. Q. The web page has loaded but a I see a rectangular grey box that looks like a button is missing, and there is no way to login?

A.   If you are noticing a grey rectangular shape or a missing button you may need complete a small software upgrade as instructed below:

1)   Go to the following web site: http://www.containerworld.ca/common-html/java_download.htm
2)   Follow the link to download the java plug-in. Choose to save the file to your computer.
3)   After the download is complete, run the program and follow the installation instructions.
4)   Once installed you will need to reboot your computer for the changes to take affect. After reboot the new web site should work correctly with the 'Login' button displayed.




Q. When I try to download a report I can see the 'Generating Report' message but it just disappears without asking me to save to a file?

A.   For some newer versions of Internet explorer you will need to enable a couple of security settings to properly allow report downloading. To update these settings from Internet Explorer go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Internet Options'. Go to the 'Security' tab and press the 'Custom Level' button. In the download settings you need to ensure that both 'Automatic prompting for file downloads' and 'File download' are enabled. See the image below for the correct settings, however, note that this only applies to some browser versions.
